About Us

We embarked upon our journey into party and event coordinating, as we were in search of a way to help spread the amazing energy, beauty and flavors created by the many talented and experienced people of the Jersey Shore.  Cintron’s Coastal Catering began as a small catering company primarily focused on bartending and staffing, along with grilling our favorites and serving raw bars to our coastal clients.  We quickly began to see our client base grow, as did their wants and needs, and before we knew it our brand had grown..  This was a pivot point.  Our clients asked for more and we decided to meet the challenge and we haven’t looked back since.

Armed with many years of hospitality, and planning and coordinating experiences, we set out to create a business model that provides a first class ala carte experience with a single point of contact. Hassle free and stress free.  We enjoy meeting the challenge of bringing our clients' visions to life.  Whether we are bartending or providing full event staffing, collaborating with the many great chefs of the Shore or collaborating with event vendors and entertainers, it is our goal to make people smile.

So, if you want to spice up your next party or event and are interested in bringing variety to your entertaining experiences, consider Cintron’s Coastal Catering, we promise to bring a ton of fun, a touch of class and an exquisite medley of Jersey Shore event options.

How It Works

I’ve been in the food service and entertainment business from the time I began bartending at Paparazzi in Washington, DC (1996), which led me to bartending and serving locally at Harpoon Willy’s.  I have had the opportunity to serve in different areas of service such as fine dining, catering, as well as the pub style atmosphere.  Each and every experience has taught me that the staff and service are key components to creating an enjoyable, one-of-a-kind experience for all of our guests.

I have worked in the Service industry since I was 14, working in many different types of service. Whether it was Customer Service or Food and Drink Service, they each had one thing in common to make the experience a GREAT one! With hardwork and a smile, I am so excited to be a part of this amazing team!

Kate

I have worked in the food industry since I was a teenager . I began in fast food before taking an opportunity to work in Ocean Medical Center’s kitchen, later moving into the service role at Harpoon Willys. I have enjoyed the challenges of working in both the front and back of the house, as the demands of each are very rewarding.  Most recently, I’ve been working in the cafeterias of Brick Schools, as a mom of six this has been ideal.

My years of experience have led me to believe in teamwork. It ensures that everyone is on the same page, working towards a common goal of providing a positive dining experience for all of our clients.

Melissa

I started in the service industry when I was 15, flipping burgers at the Golden Arches.  From there I moved on to busing tables at the old Pettersons, then cooking at the Co-Op , followed by bartending at Red Lobster.  I loved meeting new people as well as having that regular that came to see you.

I’ve worn many hats in my life ranging from landscaping, graphic design for the Asbury Park Press, working in organ and tissue recovery; and currently Materials Manager for a surgery center. In all these positions what I’ve learned is that a commitment to a job done well is what sets us apart from those just doing a job.

Serving, grilling, bartending and making people happy; this hippie  loves having fun and that’s what life is all about.

The “seeds of service" were sewn into me at a very young age, as my grandmother ran a catering hall in Bayonne,  New Jersey called, "The Barn".  I can remember being handed tiny tasks, such as folding napkins or setting the tables when I was little. When I turned 18 I was told to "sink or swim".  Luckily I didn't drown. I loved what I did! From there I pursued a career in hospitality leading me to Charlie Brown's in Brielle as a server and manager and later the Brick Township Schools District as a Senior Food Service Worker.  I am proud to have earned state food handling certifications.

Taking care of and assisting others to meet their needs has been the highlight of my days.  Today, I am excited to be working for the most amazing company, Cintron's Coastal Catering! I look forward to helping our clients with their service needs. Helping to make your party a great success.

One of the first life lessons I can remember learning from my father is “the customer is always right.” I grew up in the food and service industry, with my family owning Lenny’s Markets at the beautiful Jersey Shore. My first “job” was as a cashier at 5 years old when I would stand on a milkcrate to reach the register. I quickly learned the value of building relationships with customers, which has become my favorite part of serving. I spent 8 summers at Martell’s Tiki Bar as a server in their restaurant, at their beach bar and working private parties, ranging from BBQs to weddings. My love for building connections with others has led me to becoming a high school Interventionist, after teaching middle school English for 9 years! I cannot wait to get back to serving and to continue making people smile!

I have been in the food service industry since the age of 19.  I started as a server in a bar/restaurant up near Montclair State.  That summer I started serving and learning how to bartend at the shore.  I started bartending at Beignets which is now Hemmingway’s in Seaside.  I’ve served and bartended in pub type settings as well fine dining establishments.  Each place has afforded me the opportunity to become a well rounded employee as well as taught me that service is key. I am super fortunate to have worked with some incredible people and I’m looking forward to working with all the great people here

Meet Our Incredible People

Michael Cintron

FOUNDER & SENIOR EVENT COORDINATOR

I can remember my first job in the food service industry, working as a server in a bakery and coffee shop.  I enjoyed the conversations, the client relationships, and the joy a cup of coffee and a crumb cake could bring.  It was then that I knew that I was meant to serve others and bring them a little taste of happiness. Over the years I was introduced to many experiences in the hospitality industry, but one thing has always remained… make ‘em smile.  Whether I was pouring cocktails or serving food, cooking meals or cleaning fish, making ‘em smile was my motivation. I have been fortunate to be able to employ this same mindset in my other profession, as I teach locally.  To me it is simple, when we enjoy what we do and we show it, others can’t help but to join in… smiles are contagious!

My service experience dates back to my teenage years, where I worked for my mother, Moonie, and family at the old Co-Op Seafood, a shore staple for generations.  The lessons learned there have guided me through life… treat people well, with a smile and a commitment to ensuring the highest quality of service and products.  Michael and I have embarked upon a journey that enables us to employ all of the life lessons we have learned over the years… that is, when you are honest, respectful and dedicated to excellence, people will appreciate your commitment service.

Heather

I’ve been in the food service industry since the age of 17. I began as a food runner before cocktail serving at the Wharfside Patio Bar in Point Pleasant Beach, NJ.  While in college, I served in restaurants as I earned both my undergraduate degree and my Masters in Communication Disorders.  During the year, I work as a speech language pathologist in a local school district, while I continue to serve and bartend at the Jersey Shore during the summer months.  I really enjoy the summer and meeting new people while “working” events! It’s never really “work” if you’re having fun.

Avery

I am proud to say that I am a natural caregiver.  As a mother of two, a teacher and a waitress, I take great pride in providing excellent service, care and attention to detail.  My service experience has lasted for the better part of three decades, and I enjoy the hustle and making people happy.  Enjoying good food and company is as rewarding as it gets!

All the drinks were so fun and presented perfectly for the aesthetic! The holiday drinks were a great variety and so yummy.

We cannot thank you enough. I am not being dramatic when I tell you that your service was the difference between having a good party and a TERRIFIC party.

Thank you.

Steve & Katie H.
